The Music Kids! Programme:
The Music Kids!(MK) Programme is an in-house Music Appreciation course. The MK syllabus was developed by co-founder Lam Hwee Lim and Course Coordinator, teacher Tingxi. The MK Programme introduces students to famous music and the instruments of the Western Orchestra. At the end of the MK course, teacher and parent will discuss which instrument best suits the child and decide on which instrument to pursue in an Individual Lesson setting.
Children will be exposed to famous classical music and classical composers, where they learn to listen, respond and dance to the flow of music. They will engage in a mixture of Music Appreciation activities such as singing, dancing, acting and music making with percussion instruments.
Children will learn and identify the various musical instruments of the different families that make up the Western Orchestra. They will also learn both basic theory and aural skills where they start to identify clefs, note reading as well as listening, singing and accurately clapping to the given rhythm.
